Our matcha powderWhat makes matcha different
Matcha is green tea, but not as you know it. With ordinary green tea you steep the leaves and throw them away. With matcha the leaves are ground into a fine powder, and you whisk that powder into water and drink it all: the whole leaf, in one bowl.
That is why matcha is so bright in colour and so full in taste. It starts in the tea fields, where the bushes grow in the shade for the last weeks before the harvest. The young leaves turn a deep green and stay soft and sweet. After steaming and drying, they are ground into a powder as fine as silk.
